A step by step guide that I created to help you treat your toenail fungus infections in the most effective manner.
I hated it. The number of trips to the beach that I turned down out of sheer embarrassment… the wierd ‘fungal’ smell …. the closed in shoes I had to wear day in day out… the worry that I was spreading an infection to others….
And it lasted for more than 5 years.
In case you are wondering, I am taking about a toenail fungus infection that affects around 8% of North Americans. That’s a huge number (around 35 million if you do the maths). More people have toenail fungus that ingrown toenails. In fact more people have a nail fungus infection than any other nail disorder you can think of.
That’s a lot of people walking around with ugly, thick, distorted, funny smelling, yellow toenails.
It really should not be dismissed as just a cosmetic disorder. There are some real quality of life issues at stake, pshycological implications - not to mention the obvious public health considerations given the very contaigious nature of the infection.
It’s time we learned more about the disease, how to avoid getting it and how to treat it quickly. More quickly than the 5 years it took me to become fungus free I hasten to add. I’ve chronicled my story at Fungus Facts.com and plan to drop some of the most important lessons into this tumblr blog.
